Chicago Med season 3 premiere sneak peek hints at what’s coming next
The sneak peek revealed that Dr. Charles doesn’t die outside the hospital but that Sharon Goodwin rushed to his aid. She immediately begins asking him questions to see if his memory is doing fine as she tries to stop him from bleeding out. The scene cuts to Dr. Charles being rushed into surgery with Dr. Connor Rhodes with his future still unclear. Will Dr. Charles die?
We don’t think he will because of the role he plays. Dr. Charles often plays the role of the wiser. He offers advice and challenges the other doctors to truly think before they act. He even catches the signs and behaviors from patients that the other doctors don’t. Basically, he is their conscious. Not to mention after everything he was put through during the end of season 2 with his daughter and the tumor that changed her behavior, this would certainly be an unhappy ending.
Now, we may not believe that Dr. Charles will die, but we do believe the experience of being shot by a patient will have lasting affects on him. Fans may see him become more cautious around patients or even give patients more attention since the man that shot him believes Dr. Charles didn’t care. He could even not want to treat patients for fear that one will turn on him. He could absolutely be scared and fearful. It’s a normal reaction and we’d expect nothing less. Needless to say, the premiere episode of Season 3 is definitely going to be intense as well as challenging for the doctors of Gaffney Chicago Medical Center.
As far as the rest of the season, it appears love is in the air. If fans will recall, at the end of season 2 April and Dr. Ethan Choi kissed again, only this time we could definitely see sparks flying. Even Dr. Natalie Manning and Dr. Will Halstead shared a moment that has a believing that they may finally get together. In addition, Dr. Sarah Reese and Dr. Noah Sexton seem to be heading now the relationship path as well as Dr. Connor Rhodes who seems quite taken with the new doctor, even though he is in a relationship with Dr. Robyn Charles. Whether or not these couples will live happily ever after remains to be seen.
