NCIS season 15 stars Sean Murray, Wilmer Valderrama, more visit Marine Corps base

While you wait for a new NCIS season 15 episode on Tuesday, why not take a look at what Sean Murray and some other cast members did recently?

In the Twitter video below (via the U.S. Department of Defense), you can see what Murray, Wilmer Valderrama, Brian Dietzen, and Duane Henry did when they visited the Marine Corps Air Force Station Miramar located in San Diego, California in conjunction with the USO. It’s a chance for them to learn a little bit more about some of the heroes who do some of the work that they represent on the show. Without the military this show wouldn’t even exist, and the whole purpose of the NCIS is to ensure that there is proper regulation and law followed in the Navy so that all of the soldiers are safe both at home and abroad.

Valderrama speaks specifically in the video about all of the opportunities that he’s had over the years to visit the men and women in uniform and how much he appreciates hearing their stories. This visit (which took place earlier this fall) hopefully helped to reinvigorate the cast even more — it puts faces to the stories that they are often trying to tell.

The amount of respect that America has for the military is one of the reasons why there are three different NCIS series on the air at the moment — while the shows all follow a template that is well-used by the majority of the shows on CBS, this would have been yet just another crime series were it not for the richness of the subject matter. This is a month where many of us are saluting military veterans all over the country, and it definitely makes sense as to why the Department of Defense would want to put this video out now.

What’s coming up next on NCIS?

There is another new episode that is airing on CBS Tuesday night, though this one is a little more personal of some of our main characters than some of the other episodes you’ve seen so far this year. Based on the material that is out there, McGee is getting set to become a dad twice over (in case you missed it, he’s learn that he’s have twins!). Rest assured, there will still be a case that needs to be solved in conjunction. NCIS is not straying all that much away from their format.
