NCIS season 15 episode 9 preview: Are McGee, Delilah having baby?

NCIS season 15 episode 9

When NCIS season 15 episode 9 airs on CBS in one week’s time, the story for McGee and Delilah will be a top priority — and for good reason. After all, McGee and Delilah are getting set to welcome their very first child! The baby will, (pending some enormous surprise) be born over the course of this episode entitled “Ready or Not.” Delilah will be going into labor, and with that McGee will be scrambling like never before!

While Tim may have gotten used to handling a wide array of problems in his job as an NCIS agent, we have a feeling that this is going to be a challenge like no other for him. To get a little more insight all about what’s coming, just be sure to check out the NCIS season 15 episode 9 synopsis CarterMatt has for you below:

“Ready or Not” – The team’s Thanksgiving plans are put on hold while they track an elusive international arms dealer in D.C. who recently murdered an MI6 officer who was Sloane’s close friend. Also, Abby races Delilah (Margo Harshman) to the hospital when her labor starts three weeks early, on NCIS, Tuesday, Nov. 21 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Meeting McGee and Delilah’s baby is a moment many months in the making, and for Sean Murray’s character in particular this is the culmination of fifteen long years of background. We’ve gotten many chances to get to know this character and as a result of that, we know just how much it is going to mean for him to have a family.

As for the rest of the episode, we have a feeling that much of what matters will be tied to understanding more of Sloane’s personal history. How is she recovering from losing this friend? Is this a reason for some other characters to start to get to know her better – maybe a less guarded version of her? When the show first chose to bring Maria Bello on board one of the things that was hyped up was getting a chance to get to see her with some weighty material. She’s a great actress and the producers know that. This could be her spotlight, though she will have to share it with McGee. We imagine that this case will jump back and forth. For those who want an entire episode about McGee’s baby, that’s just not the NCIS way — there is always going to be that case-of-the-week component.
