Arrow’s Stephen Amell supports Emily Bett Rickards, Caity Lotz in new video in wake of Andrew Kreisberg report
Today, he proved that by sharing a video statement on Facebook regarding some of the accusations against Kreisberg, and went on to support his current co-star Emily Bett Rickards, who earlier today spoke out about the issue while also subtly tearing into fellow executive producer Marc Guggenheim for bringing up the words “reverse sexism” in a separate discussion. Amell also mentions Supergirl star Melissa Benoist and Legends of Tomorrow star Caity Lotz, who both have also made statements supporting their cast and crew and blasting those who choose to do such unspeakable things to people in the work place.
Here is a part of what Amell had to say in the video:
“I certainly can’t pontificate in an eloquent or such a succinct manner like Emily did, like Melissa did, [or] like Caity Lotz did. I stand behind and fully support everything that they said … Insituations like this, if you’re not active part of the solution, then you are a part of the problem. Period. That’s it. We do our best to have the best possible work environment [and] we will continue to do so … I echo the statements made by my friend and coworker Emily Bett Rickards, Caity Lotz, Melissa Benoist and the chorus of others that have come forward and called for a safe, progressive, equal working environment.”
Stephen went on to say that if anyone who works on his show runs into a problem, he will go with them and actively support them to ensure that they are not alone and don’t have any reason to be concerned or afraid.
