Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 7 preview: Ian Anthony Dale back as Adam
You may have heard before the season started that Dale was promoted to series regular, and with that you’ve likely been wondering just how he would integrate himself within the story. Well, wonder no more! Adam is going to return and take part in a very important mission. He’s not going to be a part of the Five-0 in a traditional sense, but he will have a role that is very important to McGarrett and company getting the job done. It’s a creative way to involve him in the story that feels true to who he is and isn’t stretching the character in unrealistic ways.
For a little more insight, take a look at the Hawaii Five-0 season 8 episode 7 synopsis CarterMatt has for you below:
“Kau ka ‘ōnohi ali’i i luna” – Junior and Adam back up McGarrett when a bank heist in progress forces Steve to make a potentially heartbreaking mistake. Also, Adam is forced to face an empty home without Kono, on HAWAII FIVE-0, Friday, Nov. 17 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
The Adam – Kono story is probably what many fans of the show will be intrigued in learning more about, and for a good reason. While the name of Grace Park’s character has been mentioned on the show many times since the premiere, there haven’t been too many tangible updates. For Dale’s character, this has to be emotional — he was desperate to get out of jail in order to be with her. Now that he is free, he is stuck living a life without her in Hawaii. He will certainly understand — she’s off doing good work taking down a sex-trafficking ring — but that doesn’t make an empty home for him all that easy. Wrestling with these emotions is something that could be a big part of the story for the remainder of the season.
