Young Sheldon episode 3 preview: George Sr.’s crisis, Meemaw, & more
Anyhow, Young Sheldon episode 3 is going to be important for a couple of different reasons, and the synopsis CarterMatt has for you below offers up a little more insight as to why:
“Poker, Faith, and Eggs”– When George Sr. is rushed to the emergency room, Meemaw (Annie Potts) comes to babysit, and the kids have an adventure getting to the hospital on their own, on YOUNG SHELDON, Thursday, Nov. 9 (8:31-9:01 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
There are a couple of things that are notable about this episode that we see right away, starting with the fact that George Sr. eventually dies before Sheldon becomes the man we know him to be in The Big Bang Theory. We’re not anywhere close to that point now, but we do think that this incident is meant to echo the future. The show clearly wants you to be thinking about what is going to happen to him at some point down the road and this is a story designed to prepare you in a way that Sheldon probably won’t be.
As for the character of Meemaw, the thing to remember as you watch tonight’s episode is that “Poker, Faith, and Eggs” was actually meant to be the character’s introduction. It’s one of the difficult things that comes with airing episodes out of order — it messes with the continuity a little bit.
