Olivia Pope’s stakes are higher on Scandal
The stakes are higher than ever on Thursday night as Scandal offers one last look at Olivia Pope’s time in the White House. As a late to the show viewer, I find the intensity of this show something to look forward to every week. The intertwined stories and the dramatic decisions the characters face have all viewers excited to watch. The only sad part? Well, it’s the last season, of course. Which means you need to make sure you keep up on Scandal until the very end!
Jimmy Kimmel Live! Guests make show fun to watch
Jimmy Kimmel’s guest hosts are killing it this week. Opening the chair for some of the biggest names in Hollywood, the celebrities are making the time Jimmy is missing on late night purely enjoyable. Last night Channing Tatum had the viewers in stitches and his guests Ellen DeGeneres and Pink helped make the time pass quickly.
Giving the reins of a talk show to your Hollywood pals is risky if it flops, but this week has been A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. If you’re old enough to remember, Johnny Carson and David Letterman had guest hosts and it brought in new viewers while giving the talented stars a break. There are two takeaways from this week on Kimmel’s late night show: One is that Jimmy Kimmel is a born leader, he knows he’s got his show and he isn’t afraid to live a little too. And the other? Jimmy Kimmel has some great friends who might not be traditional hosts, but they can whip up some serious fun on a dime (and he is so darn lucky.) As for Jimmy’s return, viewers can hardly wait to see him again, but until then Jennifer Lawrence is on tonight and his audience will be very satisfied!
The Winter Olympics 2018 commercials begin
If you haven’t heard, the Winter Olympics 2018 are only 100 days away. Literally a month after New Year’s Eve, the attention of the world will turn to Pyeongchang, South Korea as athletes take to the courses to prove their worth in their respective sports. The Winter Olympics 2018 commercials have already begun with NBC and other major sponsors sharing images of what we might expect at the games. It is going to be a busy time for the TV world in 2018, especially when the international sporting event dominates the tube.
