Lucifer season 3 episode 8 spoilers: The social-media episode

Lucifer season 3 episode 8 is going to air on Fox come Monday, November 20, and the title is … “Chloe Does Lucifer.” Seriously. That’s the name of the episode.

Is this made to be intentionally tongue-in-cheek? It’s pretty fair to say that the answer there is a definite “yes.” The show is kitschy and fun, and it can get a way with it in a way that few others can. After all, we are dealing with a show called Lucifer, which tells you almost everything you need to know. If you’re going to be offended by the title of this episode for being obnoxious, you’re probably going to be offended about this show as a whole.

If you look below, the Lucifer season 3 episode 8 synopsis CarterMatt has for you offers up a little more insight regarding what’s coming up next:

When a murder is connected to a celebrity dating app, Lucifer and Chloe question all they know about the world of social media in order to solve the case. Meanwhile, Ella tries to avoid Charlotte, and Amenadiel helps Linda deal with the death of her ex-husband in the all-new “Chloe Does Lucifer” episode of LUCIFER airing Monday, Nov. 20 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

There are a couple of different things that sound exciting about this episode upon first glance, with one of the biggest ones being a juicy storyline for Linda. (Yep, we’re not leading off with the episode title here.) Linda doesn’t get too many spotlight episodes a season, so this is something that’s been a long time coming; she helps other people for a living only to still struggle with helping herself.

Elsewhere, what in the world will Charlotte be up to with Ella? Also, what is it going to be like for Lucifer and Chloe having to use social media for a case? If we were to draw a theory about the episode title and its meaning here, we’d suggest that “Chloe Does Lucifer” is a reference for her impersonating him online in order to get some other people to communicate with him. Lucifer probably isn’t the best person for internet seduction; he’s good at many things, but we just can’t see him stepping behind a dating app and knowing what to do with himself. (Still, the idea of that could make for some hilarious stories).
