Wisdom of the Crowd episode 6 preview: Tanner, Alex’s past haunts them
It would be one thing if Wisdom of the Crowd was just focusing solely on this central premise for its episodes — it’d probably be a decent enough show in its own right. There is something fascinating/interesting about using a social platform for good. It’s probably still a little bit idealistic to imagine that something like Sophe could work in the real world, but it’s also fairly hard to fault the producers for wanting to pass along a message of “we’re all in this together.” This is an era where there are few unifying forces; a fictional one like Sophe that allows everyone to solve crimes together could serve as some sort of inspiration.
On next week’s “Trojan Horse,” Wisdom of the Crowd looks beyond its platform for a story that reminds you of Alex and Tanner’s history. These two have found enormous success before, during, and after their relationship; this time around, problems from their past will come back to become significant within their present.
For additional insight we implore you to read the Wisdom of the Crowd episode 6 synopsis CarterMatt has for you below:
“Trojan Horse” – Cavanaugh needs Sophe’s help to locate the source of a deadly online challenge that’s targeting vulnerable teenagers. Also, Alex’s connection to Tanner’s former company may be a personal and political issue, on WISDOM OF THE CROWD, Sunday, Nov. 5 (8:30-9:30 PM, ET/8:00-9:00 PM, PT) on the CBS Television Network.
This episode offers up an opportunity to follow up on tonight’s episode entitled “Clear History,” mostly because of Tanner’s former company playing a role in his present one. There may have been many benefits that came out of his one-time endeavor, but the longer this series goes on the more clear it’s becoming that there are also some disadvantages to that history as well. It’s something that Tanner will have to overcome to achieve some semblance of happiness in the end.
