Law & Order: SVU season 19 episode 6 preview: Sheila’s intentions

When Law & Order: SVU 19 episode 6 comes on NBC in one week’s time, you’ll get the biggest episode yet for Brooke Shields. We’ve come to know a little bit about her character Sheila to date, including that she is Noah’s grandmother and that she could pose a threat to Benson in her efforts to continue raising her adoptive son.

Now, the question that we’re going to ponder now moving into “Unintended Consequences” is pretty darn simple — is Sheila all that she seems? Is she hiding something that could come across as an ulterior motive for what she’s doing with Noah? There could be something that happens during this episode that makes Olivia Benson start to wonder, largely because on the SVU 19 episode 6 synopsis that was released recently by NBC:

11/01/2017 (09:00PM – 10:00PM) (Wednesday) : When a teenaged girl is found dead, Rollins (Kelli Giddish) goes undercover at a high-end rehab center where the victim was last seen alive. Meanwhile, Benson (Mariska Hargitay) tries to overcome her doubts about Sheila (guest star Brooke Shields). Also starring Ice T (Det. Odafin Tutuola), Raul Esparza (ADA Rafael Barba) and Peter Scanavino (Det. Sonny Carisi). Also guest starring Peter Scolari (Dr. Dennis Barkley), Annie Corley (Rosemary Taylor), Gus Birney (Kristi Martin), Christiane Noll (Sarah Curtis), Robert Eli (Glen Curtis) and Angela Oh (Katherine Lee).

This episode may in the end only scratch the surface of what are going to be some significant conflicts that define much of what this season is about. For Benson, it’s about finding her stability in what is proving to be an unstable world.

As for the case of the week, this should be exciting for all Kelli Giddish fans since this could be one of her best stories of the season. We know that for most actors getting to do undercover work with their character is a dream — after all, it’s a chance to do a modified version of their character and maybe flex a few muscles. Let’s just hope that she is able to uncover some answers while working there. Unfortunately, for the time being it’s probably a little too early to say much more when it comes to her role in the case and what she finds.
