Is Lethal Weapon new tonight on Fox? We know that we’d love to see more in the way of adventures for Riggs and Murtaugh. This is a show that has become a nice dose of TV comfort food for many, as ironic as that may be given that this is a show that does feature a wide array of explosions, action, and other high-octane drama. There isn’t all that much out there that can hold a candle to what it brings to the table on a regular basis.

Unfortunately, you’re not going to be seeing it tonight and there is a pretty clear reason for that: The lack of Fox programming in general thanks to the World Series. It’d be great to get another episode, but this hiatus has been planned for a long time and we’ve been very much aware that it was happening.

To go along with that, this hiatus could be lasting moving into Halloween Week. It may sound somewhat counterintuitive for us to root for a repeat next week, but we almost are hoping that the World Series goes as far as Game 6 or Game 7. As for the reasoning for that, it really is as simple as the fact that Lethal Weapon is a show currently on the bubble and there is no guarantee that there will be another season on Fox. You want to see the show get the best ratings possible and as a result of that, airing on Halloween night is probably not a great thing for the show and its attempts at success. It’s a night where people are off doing other things, especially earlier in the night a.k.a. the time in which Lethal Weapon actually airs on Fox.

In the event that the next new episode of the show does not air on Fox next week, it is going to air on Tuesday, November 7. From there, there will be an episode that airs presumably on the 14th. One way or another, we hope that if you love Lethal Weapon, you continue to watch the show live and do your part in order to help ensure that there is going to be a third season down the road.
