Outlander season 3: New Caitriona Balfe – Sam Heughan Print Shop photo
The Print Shop reunion allows the two fan-favorite characters to spend an extended period of time together, and in a romantic capacity, for the first time in twenty years. We’ve shared a little bit already about how there will be a lot of romance in this scene, but also a little bit of awkward clumsiness. Jamie and Claire Fraser clearly love each other, but when you’ve been a part for this long there is obviously going to be a learning curve. That only adds to the organic nature of the given that these two are human. With that, they are going to deal with some stumbling blocks and it’s not going to be perfect right away.
One thing that will feel perfect, however, to many Outlander fans is that this will be an extended episode to make up for the hiatus. In speaking about the decision to make this episode run past the typical run time, executive producer Matthew B. Roberts had the following to say:
“We wanted to let this episode breathe, to be special. And we also felt it was important they reconnect. Look at all that has happened to our characters in the first five episodes. It’s been an emotional battle. We needed them to get back together and take a really deep breath, find out a little bit about each other again before we throw ’em back into the rush of what’s coming in the second half. A little bit of extra episode doesn’t hurt.”
Just in case you are wondering as to when there are going to be seeing some additional news/photos released to “A. Malcolm” out there, we imagine it’ll come over the course of the days ahead! Typically Starz would have more than just a couple of photos out there by now but they’re clearly doing their best to scale them out. They don’t want to give everything about this episode away and then have nothing to share next week as we get closer to it actually airing! We’ll have more details (and photos) at CarterMatt as they are available.
What’s your take on this new photo?
