Criminal Minds season 13 episode 3 video: Is a ‘dating site’ responsible for case?

Criminal Minds season 13 episode 3 is coming on the air in just a matter of hours from now, and “Blue Angel” looks to be especially intense. This is a story where you could have a femme fatale on the loose, and her main motive may be to use an escort service in order to lure in possible victims only to then kill them after they have become attached.

We’ll admit that when we first started to hear details about this episode, we felt as though the UnSub was almost certainly a man for a number of different reasons. The way that they were described, for one; also, the sneak peek below adds a little more insight, and makes it clear that for the folks at the BAU they first thought the same thing about this case, as well. They were convinced that they were dealing with a man UnSub who possibly was jealous over the attention granted to other men; therefore, they would want to take action against them. That has, however, turned out to not exactly be the case.

Even if the BAU does get closer to profiling the woman at the center of all of this, identifying her is still going to prove to be no easy task for a number of different reasons — including the fact that she is anonymous on the internet. She’s created enough of an alter ego that it makes her harder to find; they may be able to track some of her internet data / IP, but that may only get them so far. What could ultimately make this mission so challenging is that it could be the sort where someone in the team could have to go undercover to get her attention, and that’s a challenge; even though these people may be some of the best in the business, it’s still really difficult to be put into a position where your life is on the line and you have to scramble to ensure that you’re okay when the dust settles. Our sympathy at CarterMatt certainly lies with all of them as a result of that.

Whatever happens in this case, it’s all right to be pretty confident that the team is going to find a way to get good things done. After all, it’s what the BAU does! Time and time again they find their way out of super-tricky situations and we’ve got every reason in the world to think that they are going to be able to do this once again.
