Arrow season 6: Is Felicity Smoak alive? What about Curtis Holt?
During the first fifteen or so minutes of The Flash season 4 premiere we had a chance to learn via Cisco Ramon that not only is Emily Bett Rickards’ character still alive, but the same goes for Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum). Both of these tech specialists proved to be rather useful in working with Cisco in his attempt to bring Barry Allen back from the Speed Force. We don’t think it was any coincidence at all that these characters were mentioned here — it was almost the mini-resolution to the Arrow cliffhanger while leaving the fate of many other characters still floating around out here in the ether. After all, there are still many other familiar faces, including Wild Dog and John Diggle, who are still major question marks among others.
We don’t necessarily think it’s all that bad for The Flash to steal part of Arrow’s thunder here, either, mostly because of the fact that this wasn’t really ever all that huge of a cliffhanger at all. After all, one of the things that you do need to consider here is this: How many characters would Arrow actually want to kill? This is a show that they love, and it’s also one that has a very popular cast. It’s okay to keep as many of them alive as you still can.
Hopefully when Arrow premieres we’ll get a better sense of everything else that both Felicity and Curtis have been up to since the end of this past season, given that there are plenty of other significant threats out there for the two parties to take on. For Felicity in particular we know that one of her biggest challenges is going to come in the form of stopping Helix — or at least trying to keep them from wanting even more revenge against her. This organization is looking as though they will have a big role to play later this leader, with their head honcho in Cayden James potentially serving as one of the Big Bad villains for the upcoming season. (Given that they do have Michael Emerson playing the role, you want to see as much of him as possible.)
