The Big Bang Theory season 11 episode 4 preview: Tale of two fathers

Want to know what’s coming on The Big Bang Theory season 11 episode 4? Based on early information we have we are going to see fathers in the spotlight.

We don’t get episodes that feature Wolowitz and Sheldon on their own all that often, so the idea of the two parties taking some time to talk about their past is somewhat exciting (especially since Sheldon typically doesn’t respect Howard because of his job). Obviously, there is a commercial merit to Sheldon speaking about his dad when this episode airs October 16 — it serves as a reminder that Young Sheldon is a part of the universe now. Through much of the series proper’s run, most of the mentions of Sheldon’s father George Sr. have been through one-liners. (It’s something that Lance Barber, who plays Sheldon’s father on Young Sheldon, told CarterMatt in a recent interview.) With Howard, we’ve at least had some opportunities to hear about his father, including when we met his half-brother earlier on in the series’ run.

We’re obviously more excited for this episode than we’ve been for a many others in a while. After all, there are still some major cracks in the history of Sheldon and his father that can’t be explored properly on Young Sheldon unless it goes on for many years. For example, does George’s death change his relationship with his siblings? We’ve never met George Jr. on the flagship show and his sister’s total screen time has been fairly brief. The sibling we’ve actually come to see the most is Raj’s sister Priya, but she was only around for an arc years ago and hasn’t really been seen since.
