MacGyver season 2 episode 2 spoilers: Riley gets her standout mission
What is a little surprising is seeing that CBS is changing things up when it comes to the episode order. Previously it appeared as though the second episode of the season was going to be “Roulette Wheel” — this is what was referenced in the most-recent promo for the show. Now, it appears as though “Muscle Car + Paper Clips” is going to be the next installment on Friday. This isn’t the first time in which CBS has switched the episode order of some of their shows — they’ve done it already with NCIS: New Orleans this week.
What makes this episode interesting? Beyond the two objects mentioned in the title, we’re going to see a very big episode when it comes to Tristin Mays’ character of Riley. She will have been assigned her own case and will do everything that she can to make it work out. Yet, something is going to go wrong since otherwise we wouldn’t have Mac and company out on the case. Take a look below in the event you do want a little more insight regarding what is coming:
“Using a necklace and a microwave transmitter, Mac and the team attempt to locate Riley after her first solo mission with a group of dangerous hackers goes off the rails, on MACGYVER, Friday, Oct. 6 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.”
The promo below offers you up some additional reasons to be excited for this episode … but it doesn’t offer you a whole lot else. This is a pretty generic promo, something that CBS wants to bust out from time to time to get people excited about some of their shows without giving a whole lot away of the story itself in the process.
Really, the big thing that we at CarterMatt can say about this episode is that it should be a great one for Riley fans, and we also hope that Riley/Bozer fans can have a moment or two in the process. These two characters have great chemistry together and we’re going to be rooting for them to end up together for quite a long time still. For the time being, though, let’s just enjoy this case for what it will probably be: A pretty fun hour of television that offers us some opportunities to see some characters in new situations. For a show like this, you really do need to present something different on a weekly basis.
