NCIS: New Orleans season 4 episode 2 now ‘#1 Fan’ after change

NCIS: New Orleans season 4 episode 2

There are some changes coming in regards to Tuesday’s NCIS: New Orleans season 4 episode 2 — and it involves the episode order.

Originally, the episode “The Asset” (read more about it here) was meant to serve as the second episode of this season, but for whatever reason it is now being pushed back indefinitely. It’s not currently scheduled for October 10, so it’s possible it could air on October 17 or at some other point down the road. The one thing that is disappointing to us about this is that this episode featured a return from Longmire actress Cassidy Freeman, and we’re down to always support anyone who is a part of that show’s family.

Now that we’ve said that, “#1 Fan” was one of the episodes we were the most excited to see this season on the basis of the premise and the material that it could be offering Scott Bakula. Check out the synopsis below to get a little more news all about what’s coming if you haven’t seen it already:

“While preparing to leave on a fishing trip, Martha Roberts (Dendrie Taylor), an erratic whistleblower who calls Pride her mentor, kidnaps him to help her locate a serial killer targeting young women in the Gulf of Mexico, on NCIS: NEW ORLEANS, Tuesday, Oct. 3 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.”

One of the things that we find so interesting about this story is that it does a pretty dramatic about-face from what we expect with most of these crime shows. Typically when a main character is kidnapped, what it means is that there is someone else out there desperate to hurt them. However, in this case the turn comes courtesy of the fact that we’ve got someone here who seems to actually admire Pride to such an extent that she is willing to kidnap him. The problem here could come in what happens in the event that he does try to escape. We’ve got a good feeling that this is not something that’s going to end all that well for him, even if he does everything in his power to ensure that she is calm whenever he makes his attempt to escape. (Do you really think that this is the sort of situation that Pride is going to let the clock run out on? He knows how dangerous someone like Martha Roberts could be.)

If you want to see a new preview for this episode, you can do so below — but you should be warned in advance that it doesn’t give away all that much when it comes to story details.
