When NCIS: New Orleans season 4 episode 2 airs on CBS October 3, will the show go back to normal? Will Pride find his way back to the team? Well, some of the first news regarding “The Asset” suggests that he’ll continue to be around his colleagues, which is a good thing given that we could have a case revolving around international politics … one with huge ramifications. That’s why it’s understandable the team would need to bring in some outside help!
Cassidy Freeman of Longmire fame is going to be coming back in this episode as Eva Azarova, and she’ll have a huge role with Tammy as some of her contacts prove to be very much essential in the resolution of this case.
For a little more insight regarding what is coming on this upcoming episode, just take a look at some of the official details below.
NCIS: New Orleans season 4 episode 2 synopsis – “Pride and his team join forces with FBI Director Isler (Derek Webster) after a Russian operative, who’s in the states to provide intelligence on sleeper agents, disappears after his Navy escort is murdered. Also, Tammy partners with former sleeper agent Eva Azarova (Cassidy Freeman) to locate the missing operative who Eva has known since childhood.”
This episode feels, on paper, like somewhat of a return to form for the series given that we’re getting the characters seemingly back more in their typical environment … or however typical that may be for some of these characters. This is season 4, and at this point, we feel like they all have to be accustomed to a certain extent towards doing this job and dealing with some of the rigors that go along with it. That includes grappling with some of the challenges that come with cases and adversaries, but at the same time also political problems and issues of jurisdiction in the city. This may be a standalone case, but we do hope (especially with Longmire over) that Freeman gets an opportunity to appear on a few more episodes at some point during the season. This is a show that does need to keep finding ways to add to its arsenal of great recurring guest stars.
Update: The air date for this episode has changed and is to be announced.
