Scream season 3 adds Teen Wolf alum Tyler Posey

Tyler Posey

Tyler Posey has just wrapped up the final season of the hit series, Teen Wolf, and he doesn’t need to worry about his next project because he’s booked it on MTV’s Scream.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor has joined the third season of the MTV series. Posey will play Shane, a high school dropout who is described as “as a drug dealer and party promoter who is always hustling in order to make money. But beneath that exterior, there’s more to Shane than anyone realizes.”

The role is a far from his role on Teen Wolf, however, it gives his fans a chance to see what else he can do. Posey is a talented actor and now we are given the opportunity to see him in a different light. He will always be Scott McCall for diehard fans, but this new role allows him to add to his fanbase and his acting portfolio. That is great for any future jobs that he takes on.

Fans can also see Posey on Jane the Virgin in a recurring role on its upcoming Season 4.

The anthology reboot “evolves around Deion Elliot (RJ Cyler), a local star running back whose tragic past comes back to haunt him at the worst time, threatening his hard-earned plans for his future — and the lives of his unlikely group of friends.”

Season 3 is being relocated to Atlanta for the six-episode season and will air as a three-night event in March. A specific date has yet to be revealed. In addition to the new location, there is also a new format, story and cast.

Posey joins Keke Palmer, Giorgia Whigham, Jessica Sula, Giullian Yao Gioiello, Tyga, and C.J. Wallace with Brett Matthews serving as the third season’s showrunner and executive producer. He will serve alongside Queen Latifah, Shakim Compere and Yaneley Arty for Flavor Unit Entertainment. Other executive producers include Harvey and Bob Weinstein for Dimension TV, the late Wes Craven, Tony DiSanto, Liz Gateley, Marianne Maddalena and Cathy Konrad.

With all the new aspects of the series, it definitely become worth checking out, especially if you were a fan of the original Scream. Besides the new cast is very interesting and we cannot wait to see the new format and so many new faces.
