Victoria season 2 episode 3 spoilers: What’s next for Lord Melbourne?

Victoria season 2 episode 3 is set to air on ITV this weekend, and there will be questions aplenty about the title character and Lord Melbourne. We know that there is a history there, but there are also some clear problems given that the Queen now has a marriage, another pregnancy, and a completely different life that she must attend to. Meanwhile, Melbourne has his own priorities … including his own well-being.

Nonetheless, the new Victoria season 2 episode 3 preview below is very much dramatic when it comes to what it brings to the table, including a Britain sifting through chaos. This episode is going to actually feature Victoria at perhaps her most resourceful, devising a plan regarding a silk party that she can use as a guise for a larger purpose.

Yet, even in the midst of her “celebration,” Melbourne is going to remain a focus for the character’s concerns, and during the episode she will actually send off Emma to check in on him and make sure that he is all right. We know that Melbourne may not want her to be concerned over him, given that she has a country to run and therefore a lot of other things on her plate, but Victoria is going to feel however Victoria is going to feel. He doesn’t ultimately have any control over that.

What this episode should provide on Sunday is a little bit of trademark escapism, but also more reminders that no relationship is perfect and these are characters who are still trying to make an effort to find their place. For example, we’ve seen already that Albert is struggling to balance out his role as a husband with being subservient to Victoria as a Queen. We do hope that he does figure out a way to handle that sooner rather than later, given that the more he allows this to hang over his head, the more troublesome in turn it will probably be for him. He also needs to ensure that jealousy, or the desire to make a substantial impact on the kingdom in his own right, don’t become the prevailing emotions in his mind.
