A new The Flash season 4 – Legends of Tomorrow crossover is coming

Legends of Tomorrow crossover

Just in case the epic four-part superhero crossover with The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrowand Supergirl is not enough for you, this may be a reason to jump for joy.

The video below is one of the latest promos for the upcoming DC Comics shows returning to The CW this fall, and if you pay attention you’ll see that there is a crossover coming between The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. While it’s not specified which show is getting it, Nate Heywood (Nick Zano) is spending a little bit of time with Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale). Both are wearing their Steel and Kid Flash costumes, so obviously there’s some superhero connection to whatever it is that the two parties are doing. This should be fun just because these two guys are still getting used to having powers after only really getting them a year ago, and they also both carry around with them a sense of levity and enthusiasm. They don’t look at their abilities as a burden, and are enthusiastic about the opportunity to help people. We also do think that on a meta level, it makes more sense to do crossovers here because these two shows air on the same night.

What we’re going to see on both seasons coming up is a certain degree of levity. The folks over at The Flash seem intent now on bringing back some of the humor that was there for one of the earlier seasons. Meanwhile, Legends of Tomorrow already had a good spirit of that on its second season, which we consider to be a significant improvement on the first. We do hope that there are some continued crossovers with the two shows just because of all of the connections there — specifically with Martin Stein (Victor Garber) having a good history with many of the people at STAR Labs. Also, there is still something interesting about the way that The Flash/Kid Flash could time travel versus the way that the Legends do. Both absolutely do have a history of finding a way to screw with the timeline.

Let’s just hope that now, we’re in the midst of a waiting game for extended trailers for both seasons of the show. Given when they started production, there wasn’t all that much time for either DC or the folks at Warner Bros./The CW to create anything for San Diego Comic-Con. That’s typically the case just because scheduling around that time is so tight.

What do you think about this new promo, and what do you want to see the most of some of these upcoming seasons? Let us know your thoughts now in the comments!
