Crime Dynamic Duos: Blue Bloods (Danny / Baez) vs. MacGyver (Bozer / Riley)
Ready for another Crime Dynamic Duos showdown? So far we’ve seen thousands upon thousands of votes cast in the effort to see who is the best crime-fighting pair on TV, and we’re diving into it again by making it to the halfway point of the second round!
In some ways, today’s showdown is the CBS Friday night edition with Blue Bloods and MacGyver each bringing some of their champions into the metaphorical arena. Both are beloved in their own way — even if the two shows are tonally very different — but only one will advance to the next round.
Who moves on to the next round? That’s totally up to you! Check out the poll at the bottom of the article.

Still with us? Let’s dive into this battle…
Danny and Baez, Blue Bloods (#5 seed) – In the first round, we saw these two pull off an upset over Walter and Paige from Scorpion, and doing so in a reasonably-decisive fashion. Now, they’ve got a chance to push even deeper into the competition and be a Cinderella story!
It’s not all that challenging to figure out why it is that these two characters are popular: They’re somewhat old-school in that they are a classic crime-fighting team that often thinks in terms of seeking justice and some of the roundabout ways that they go about making that happen. Yet, at the same time they have a very modern sensibility and edge that makes them magnetic and appealing.
Bozer and Riley, MacGyver (#7 seed) – Speaking of underdogs, there are few better ones out there than these two! They likable pair managed to unset Sherlock and John of Sherlock in the first round, and they’ve got their own Cinderella story going strong at the moment.
What makes Bozer and Riley so appealing, beyond just the fact that they find unique ways to get the job done without always being in the field, is that they have a natural way of making people laugh. They’re lighthearted characters in what is a super-serious time. Watching them feels like a breath of fresh air, even if things do get tough for them here and there. The possibility of a romance down the road is just icing on the cake.
