Big Brother 19 live feed spoilers: Halfway party; Josh rants & raves (day 50, late-night)

Halfway party

Our final Big Brother 19 update for day 50 is here, and let’s start with news that the Halfway Party has come and gone!

We gotta start by saying that to be honest, it’s NUTS that there are still so many people left more than halfway through the game, but this show was structured in such a way where twists kept people around. It’s also funny that it worked that way given that we did lose three people so early on in Cameron, Megan, and Jillian.

Following the Halfway Party, much of the focus has been on a lengthy conversation between Josh and Christmas up in the HoH room where he made it clear how frustrated he is with certain people — namely, Matt and Raven. He feels like they mooch off of who is in power, they don’t do much, and that they aren’t really with him. He’s also getting very anxious about Alex and Jason setting themselves up via some side deal with Paul, similar to what Paul has done in cultivating a relationship with Elena over time. There is this tight core of Paul, Christmas, Josh, and Kevin, but there are people who are going to crack.

The biggest beneficiary of all of this paranoia, crazy as it sounds, could be Cody. Much of the next week may be a true test of how bad people are itching to play the game after so much inactivity. Josh still wants Elena gone, Mark is a big target for obvious reasons, and Matt and Raven have been increasingly sketchy as time has gone on. We have heard a little bit of these two talking tonight, but it’s mostly inconsequential since they never really get anywhere — it all comes back to complaining or thinking about whether or not they should make a move as opposed to actually making one.

Has anything changed for tomorrow?

Nope! Everyone is looking beyond that now. Jessica is going, but the vote won’t be unanimous thanks to Cody. Following that, we’re probably going to have either a random Head of Household Competition or something tied to all of the strange noises that we’ve heard in the house the past few days. If it’s the latter, Paul has to be the frontrunner since he’s shown over time that he is very good at listening and following instructions for HoH Competitions. Yes, it’s kind of ironic given that he barely ever shuts up, but he’s found a way to really excel in some of these regardless. There probably is still a luck component to them, though, so it’s anyone’s game in the end.

Here’s one of the biggest indications of just how nuts this cast is: There was no alcohol during the Halfway Party, a clear sign that they would all get drunk and beat the snot out of each other.
