Suits season 7 episode 3 spoilers: Harvey, Mike, messy deals in ‘Mudmare’

“Mudmare” is the title for Suits season 7 episode 3, and at the time in which we’re writing this, we don’t know what this means, either. This is a story where we will continue to see further examples of the new normal at Pearson Specter Litt, including how Harvey is handling his new position of power and what Rachel is doing with the associates. If you recall, at the end of the premiere Louis decided that it was best, despite his earlier protests, to let her handle some of these people. She has more of a delicate touch, and with that, is well-suited to being able to speak with them.

However, are there times when Louis’ bull-in-a-china-shop attitude to tend to be helpful? Certainly so, and one of the biggest ones is putting jerky associates in their place when they start to question authority. Judging from the information below, this is one of the things that is going to be happening in this episode.

Suits season 7 episode 3 synopsis – “Louis and Harvey wrangle with new firm dynamics. Mike’s latest success brings him unexpected new business. And Rachel’s leadership is challenged by an insubordinate associate.”

Now, we know already that Rachel doesn’t need Louis or anyone else to fight her battles. What makes this story interesting is that we haven’t had a chance to see before now the character in a position where she did have such a leadership role. She’ll find a way to channel some of her strength, and use some of that in order to assert some control. She has to, since if she doesn’t she is setting herself up in a regrettable position where she will constantly have to fight some of these people in order to assert her status as the leader of this team.

In the end, any chance to get some great Meghan Markle scenes is a chance worth celebrating.

Warning: Spoilers from Suits 7×02 ahead…

At the end of tonight’s episode, we saw Harvey make the decision to bring Alex Williams over to Pearson Specter Litt, but not as name partner. Everyone seemed okay with it at the moment, but based on Louis’ rantings on the subject in therapy (see the promo below), he may not actually be.

Meanwhile, it seems that Mike and Harvey are back to some of their old ways, dickering about a deal should not have apparently happened. These two, much like everyone else, are still getting used to the crazy transition of power that has unfolded. Mike is out there in public now, but he’s going to have to work to win some of these said people over.
