The Bachelorette spoilers: Peter Kraus, Bryan Abasolo’s overnight dates with Rachel Lindsay

overnight dates

Fans of The Bachelorette know what is coming up next on the show: Overnight dates! It’s the same thing that we’ve seen many times before. This time around, what’s going to be interesting is mostly seeing if favorites like Peter Kraus and Bryan Abasolo make it that far, and then learning what happens then if they can separate themselves from each other in Rachel Lindsay’s eyes.

The overnight dates are one of the hardest parts of the show to present on television, which is probably one of the reasons why we do consider them personally to be the most boring. After all, remember for a minute here that this part of the show is partially off-camera, and there is rarely any drama once we make it here. Almost every other word is “fairy tale,” and we get that given that the contestants are all in some exotic location — in this case, Spain — and production has them trying to hype up every possible moment for maximum romance.

There may be more at stake here beyond just becoming Rachel’s fiance — there is also a chance at the end of the overnight dates episode that we’ll have a better sense as to who the next Bachelor is going to be. As of late, the sentiment has been that it will belong to Peter, provided of course that this is a gig that he wants. If he shines here, he can get further distance between himself and any other potential contenders for the title of Bachelor. One of the things that is so interesting and so different from past years is that someone like Peter probably has to deal with both competition from this season and from Bachelor in Paradise for the role — that’s not something that we would’ve ever predicted before last year, but what happened with Nick Viall last summer fundamentally changed that. Now, we do actually have to consider all options from both shows, though it’s hard to imagine anyone from this upcoming Paradise season coming and snatching the title away from Peter.

Odds are, we’ll find out who the next Bachelor is a little bit later this summer, but there is some further business to attend to first! We’ve got the overnight dates episode of The Bachelorette airing next week, and then after that both the Men Tell All and the finale / After the Final Rose. Then, there is Bachelor in Paradise, and the new star will likely be announced during that.

Be sure to head over here a little bit later tonight, since we’re going to have some further analysis of whatever sort of promo ABC throws out there for the next new episode of The Bachelorette. Hopefully, there’s more overnight-date drama than we are currently predicting! (Photo: ABC.)
