Real Housewives of New York City preview: Bethenny Frankel headlines surface
Now, it may feel on some ways rather strange to say this given that this show is, technically, meant to be a reflection of real life in some ways. However, there is a certain insulation that comes through the show, where most of the problems that you experience are a little bit more of the petty variety, such as infighting with some of the various cast members. This is different, since it involves some various allegations that are coming out about Bethenny and her ex-husband. Odds are, you’ve already heard a little bit about some of this in the press, and it’s certainly boiled over long past where the show is in filming at the moment. If you remember for a moment, there are headlines about this drama and stalking allegations involving her ex out there from just this past week! The fact that this story isn’t going away is probably one of the saddest things about this entire storyline, which could carry over and be a part of the reunion show later this season.
For a little more into how all of this comes out, much of it has to do with (of course) gossip among the other women. Take a look at some other details via the attached synopsis.
Synopsis – “Sonja digs a deeper grave for herself with Luann. While the ladies hit the slopes, a big news story about Bethenny breaks out online. Bethenny is on the fence about inviting Ramona to Mexico. At dinner, the ladies play a revealing game of “Truth or Dare” and Dorinda ends up attacking Luann.”
Rest assured that there will be some comedy that comes out of the truth-or-dare game, but that may be short-lived and not something that many people talk about beyond this episode. Comedy does often tend to fall by the wayside on this show in the wake of some of the heavier drama.
In some ways, the good news for some of these women (especially Bethenny) is that there will be distractions from the news of the day and the drama. Some of it may be stressful in its own right, but this is a show that does throw a lot of different stuff at you and forces you to adapt to it.
