The Walking Dead season 8: Norman Reedus, Andrew Lincoln’s Comic-Con return
Today, AMC confirmed their (expected) lineup of shows and stars attending the big convention in San Diego. Take a look at some of the rosters, complete with times, below. Remember that all times listed are Pacific, so keep that in mind if you’re planning to follow along on social media.
Fear the Walking Dead – Friday, July 21 at 11:15 a.m., Hall H. Cast members include Kim Dickens, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Colman Domingo, Mercedes Mason, Sam Underwood, Daniel Sharman and Michael Greyeyes along with Executive Producer and Showrunner David Erickson, Executive Producers Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero and David Alpert.
The Walking Dead – Friday, July 21 at 12:15 p.m., Hall H. Cast members include Andrew Lincoln, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Norman Reedus, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Lennie James, Seth Gilliam, Alanna Masterson, Khary Payton, and Chandler Riggs along with Executive Producer and Showrunner Scott M. Gimple, Executive Producer Robert Kirkman, Executive Producer Gale Anne Hurd, Executive Producer, Director and Special Effects Make-up Supervisor Greg Nicotero and Executive Producer David Alpert.
Both of these panels will be moderated by Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick, which shouldn’t be all that much of a surprise at all. Why would you want anyone else doing them?
Preacher – Friday, July 21 at 4:00 p.m., Hall H. Cast members include Dominic Cooper, Ruth Negga, Joseph Gilgun, Ian Colletti and Graham McTavish along with Executive Producer Seth Rogen and Executive Producer and the author of the Preacher graphic Novel, Garth Ennis. There is no moderator announced as of this time.
Obviously, these three panels are all going to be very popular, which is why they’ve been seated in Hall H a.k.a. the biggest room at the convention. There aren’t too many surprises in terms of attendees across the board, though it is nice to see that the Preacher panel will have Rogen there. Given that he’s not the showrunner and he is a big star, that wasn’t something that felt like a guarantee.
What to expect
All in all, the biggest thing to look forward to from these three shows are new trailers — this will be the most important for The Walking Dead, given that this is the show that won’t be airing at the time in which the convention happens. It’s set for now to return in October.
Oh, and also expect huge lineups to get into Hall H; given that Comic-Con has a history of not clearing rooms in between panels, there may be plenty of people camping out throughout the day.
