The Bachelorette spoilers: Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo’s date

Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo have had one of the better connections on The Bachelorette. Yet, they also haven’t had a solo date. It’s surprising when you think about him getting the First Impression Rose that he hasn’t gotten to the place yet where he can get that date, but that’s coming at some point during the two episodes that are airing this coming week!

In the video below (via TV Guide), you can get a good glimpse of a little bit of what this date will consist of in Oslo, Norway. The Bachelorette and the Doctor have a dangerous, high-octane date ahead for them that will cause them to confront what is (of course) one of the most terrifying fears out there: A fear of heights. They will have to take a plunge, and deal with the aftereffects of that.

Why are some of these fear-based dates so effective on this show? We’ve seen many people at the center of them go far in their seasons, and a whole lot of that may have to do with a simple matter of psychology: You build a shared experience going through something crazy like this, and that memory bonds you together for a long time. It’s not something that anyone else in the competition can relate to, even if some of these other people do have their fair share of crazy dates of their own.

By the end of this episode, we should get a further sense of whether or not the relationship between these two can truly stand the test. We know already that they’ve got a crazy-intense physical connection, so really the true debate from here is whether or not there is also a deep emotional connection to go along with it. That’s the harder thing to figure out on this show, given that you are having tod ate people over a very short period of time and there’s really not all that much in the way of alone time that you spend with the other person.
