Teen Wolf season 6 alum Holland Roden lands another TV project
Recently, we hyped that Roden would be appearing in the upcoming season of the Syfy series Channel Zero. Meanwhile, we can also now say that she’s also got a chance to appear in a new Amazon project Lore based on the podcast. According to a new report from Deadline, Roden will be appearing specifically in the role of Bridget Cleary, the wife of Cathal Pendred’s character of Michael Cleary. Here is what the Deadline description describes her character as:
“Living in Ireland in 1895, with fiery red hair, she is a dressmaker and an egg dealer who lives with her husband Michael in an Irish laborer’s cottage. An exceptional woman, she’s been liberated by the invention of the sewing machine and the refrigerated railway car, and she’s making a lot more money than her husband. When her tongue gets a little too pert for Michael’s liking, Bridget must prove the impossible: that she’s the true Bridget Cleary and not a fairy’s changeling. The episode is written by David Chiu and Patrick Wall with Thomas J. Wright directing.”
Sound interesting? What personally sounds so interesting about this role is that it gives Roden a chance to do a couple of different things: Take on a role that has a little bit of genre appeal, but at the same time also one that has an edge of period drama to it. She gets a chance to take on things that are familiar to her, but also some that are new and exciting. Think of this as a great way to build even more excitement leading up to the return of Teen Wolf a little bit later this summer. MTV still hasn’t set an official date for the show, but you do know that it will be coming over the next several months to wrap up the series.
