Is The Flash new tonight? When season 4 DeVoe casting could come
Unfortunately, that is not the case, and it’s not going to be the case for many more months. The show is likely not returning to The CW until October with more new episodes, but is there anything to still look forward to until that time? Well, that depends on how much you revel in some of the little things that come out here and there over the course of hiatus.
Take, for example, the beginning of filming, which is likely going to come around the start of July. That’s a time where there could be a little more news here and there. Or, think in terms of San Diego Comic-Con, given that this is when the show could officially reveal some sort of teaser for the new season and potentially release some more information about the upcoming Big Bad, presumably DeVoe. He is the one who was hyped up over the past several months, and seeing the show’s take on him could be fairly interesting given that he’s not a speedster and therefore brings so many different challenges to the table.
The timing of the DeVoe casting is going to depend heavily on when the producers plan on debuting the character. If he’s going to be around for most of the season (which is our preference given that it’d be a nice change-up for the show), it makes some sense to announce the guy in the role at some point in July. However, if the plan instead is to wait to reveal him until down the road, maybe this is something that you don’t have to start looking at until later in the season.
The one thing to ultimately look at one way or another is that if the show does cast a reasonably big name over the summer, there’s a good chance that this person turns out to be DeVoe in the end. Just remember for a minute or two that this is what they did when it comes to Teddy Sears, and it’s also what happened with Arrow and Josh Segarra this past season.
