Britain’s Got Talent results: Did Kyle Tomlinson, DNA, Miss Street Vibe advance?
Going into the show, our personal sentiment was that DNA and Kyle Livingston should move on to the next round. Yet, knowing the British public, there was a pit somewhere deep in the stomach suggesting that the choir was going to advance, just because of the fact that Britain LOVES choirs.
The first two acts put through into the top three were Kyle and DNA, so here, there was no surprise at all. The third act advancing to the next round was … Kyle! What was rather interesting was that Ant and Dec announced the act in second place before the winner. DNA advanced as the winner, and what that means effectively is that Miss Treat Vibe are gone … for now. They will have a chance to earn their way back into the live final thanks to the judges’ wild card, and they may have a chance at that judging from what we saw tonight. They weren’t perfect, but there is definitely some potential with them as performers.
Does anyone else have a chance at making it to the final? There is an underdog case to be made for Tyrone & Mina, given that they were very good and penalized mostly because their knife-throwing act is the sort of thing that is unappealing for people out there who don’t like danger and find it a little scary. In terms of talent for their respective field, though, they were right up there with Kyle and DNA. What DNA’s win effectively tells us going into the final is that Britain does still have a craving for magic following the victory for Richard Jones.
