The White Princess episode 8 (finale) spoilers: ‘Old Curses’
Given that this is a story that is in so many ways powerful through its history, it is rather fun to see the show take on a somewhat fantasy-like title for its final hour: “Old curses.” It is Newton’s First Law as presented back in time: For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. No deed goes unpunished, and much of this drama will boil over throughout the course of this episode. There will be no other time for the show to highlight such things, and there remains no word as to whether or not Starz is going to work either with the BBC or independently to commission more episodes of the series.
The White Princess episode 8 synopsis – “A final confrontation with the pretender exposes King Henry’s weaknesses, while Lizzie confronts new demons and old curses.”
This episode should be one that brings you some answers as to the course of events so far through the series, but also some surprises. Take, for example, the reaction that could come out of the discoveries related to King Henry VII. Seeing the show shine a light on this era of history is remarkable and interesting in so many ways, given that the man is credited somewhat for restoring peace to England and its empire for a time. Yet, he was also renowned for his greed, and if someone casually mentions King Henry in relation to the monarchy, this is arguably not the first one they tend to think about.
The one thing that we absolutely do wish is that Starz delivered, to go along with the finale of The White Princess, either a new trailer for Outlander or Power. If you think back to the premiere of the series, this is where the first Outlander teaser premiered.
