Is The Originals new tonight on The CW? Trouble ahead for Hayley
Unfortunately, the answer to the aforementioned question is “no,” and the reasoning goes more or less like this: It’s Memorial Day Weekend. As a result of that, The CW doesn’t want the risk of damaging some of the limited original programming it has this time of year. The show will return on June 2 with “Phantomesque,” and episode directed by none other than Daniel Gillies. (You can get a little bit of further news about it just by heading over to the link here.) This is the first of the final four episodes, and following this one up on June 9, there will be an hour entitled “A Spirit Here That Won’t Be Broken.” This episode and the stories it contains are the focus of the remainder of this article. (After all, it’s crummy to based this article around there being no new episode tonight and then being done with it!)
Here’s a breakdown of, character by character, what you can expect to see courtesy of SpoilerTV.
Klaus – For Joseph Morgan’s main character, his mission will be fairly simple: Trying to react to the news that The Hollow has a rather unique power source in the form of a mystical totem. The guy is going to want to have some help destroying it!
What’s interesting is that it’s not actually Klaus who first uncovers the totem in the first place. Instead, you can look more towards Freya for that. She’ll get both Klaus and Rebekah involved in her mission.
Kol – Love Nathaniel Buzolic? Then this is going to be a great episode for you as you see his character struggle to be in opposition to much of his family. Once again, The Hollow are the folks to blame for it!
Marcel – In addition to helping Freya and Klaus, she’s going to be forced to deal with some “growing tension” between her and Marcel in an unexpected way.
Hayley – Somehow, The Hollow may have some of the worst plans in mind for her. Be prepared for one of the most dangerous character sequences ever to involve her.
