Power season 4 trailer: Ghost’s in for a battle

Power season 4 trailer

Starz released the official Power season 4 trailer on Thursday, and it’s good enough to cause some jitters leading to the premiere next month.

The trailer below was first posted by Entertainment Weekly, and for James St. Patrick, there’s one word to describe it: Hell. There is no more double life. Instead, there’s only despair and only destruction. There are men who want to kill him for no reason other than that they like killing. There are people who want to take him down because of an illegitimate charge. Ghost may have many skeletons within his cause, but these aren’t the ones haunting him now. Things may get a bit trickier if Angela starts throwing Lobos and other problems against the wall. That’s what you gotta look out for now.

Beyond Ghost’s WIDE array of problems, the trailer sets up a series of other conflicts.

Tommy – He’s running things on the outside at an unstoppable rate. Who’s slowing him down? It’s the most power and strength that he’s had since the start of the show without reporting to someone else. Someone needs to bring in Peter Parker’s uncle to tell him what comes with great power — also, he’s set up for a dramatic fall.

Tasha – Good luck trying to balance out Ghost being in jail and Tariq going off the deep end because of Kanan’s influence. He’s the Big Bad of the series, the Trojan Horse sliding into Tariq’s life to destroy the St. Patrick family from within. It’s mixing metaphors, but his presence is almost Shakespearean in a way.

Joe Proctor – Ghost’s attorney has the biggest role he’s had in four seasons of the show. It’s going to be an immense chance trying to sell people on the idea of Ghost as nightclub owner Jamie and nothing more. The case looks to be heading to trial, and that means Law & Order: Power Edition is coming to the show.

All in all, it’s a pretty awesome trailer that gives you everything you could want as a Power fan, in a form that you can actually watch while at work so long as nobody’s got a problem with watching someone sniff cocaine. Hey, by Power standards this is PG-13.

New episodes of Power start on Sunday, June 25 on Starz. Prepare accordingly.
