Absentia: Stana Katic photo shoot coming; latest teaser
In a post on her Instagram at the end of this past week, Katic announced that she had completed a photo shoot tied to the series. If we were to guess, we would say that this is a promotional shoot for official photos, key art, posters, and everything else that does come with a show’s release. This is something that she is familiar with given that she did this for Castle over several (but not all) of its seasons on ABC.
Judging from her message, this was apparently both a fun and creative shoot to do for the show; with that being said we are excited to see what comes from it on the other side. For now, consider this a rather great addition to what is hopefully going to be a big promotional roll-out worldwide for the series, including a network here in the US. This is, after all, a big thing everyone is waiting for since she has a great group of fans here that want to watch the show.
For those who haven’t heard yet, Katic is playing an FBI agent in Absentia, one who is found in a cabin without memory of a major gap of time in her life. She tries to remember what happened, while realizing that much of the world she knew has moved on, presuming that she was dead.
The latest teaser
The show’s official Twitter account continues to do an exceptional job posting almost-daily updates about the series and this latest one is a little more straightforward than some of the others we’ve seen. It’s clearly a reference (in our mind) to Stana’s character, and the attempts to determine what happened to her and how to help her get her memory back. Will she be receptive to said help? Without knowing the character, this is a blank slate waiting to be filled in.
If you haven’t noticed the pattern, our Absentia coverage will be consisting of a new story every other day. With that in mind, expect another update coming up on May 5 so long as there is something to report. The best way to keep track of our updates is to bookmark the link here. Be sure to sound off in the comments so we can hear your thoughts on this new show. (Photo: Sony)
