Home Fires season 2 episode 6 spoilers (PBS): The series finale
Will every story be tied up? Not necessarily, since the show’s cancellation when it aired on ITV was a surprise to most of the viewers at the time. The story has already continued in some other forms beyond the season 2 finale, but we’ll have some more news on that next week.
For the time being, we simply want to had over some further news when it comes to this episode specifically.
Home Fires season 2 episode 6 synopsis – “There’s cause for joy in the village as everyone prepares for a wedding. Even as the allies cheer for victory in the Battle of Britain, there’s one more twist of fate in store for the citizens of Great Paxford.”
What else do we think is going to be coming in this episode? Well, we can tell you that there will be wedding bells between two different characters. Beyond that, the storyline of Pat and Bob will reach its peak — though we cannot tell you that you will for certain be happy with the end results. Beyond that, there is also going to be a shocking storyline that will leave you gasping in the closing minutes and really wishing that someone would find a way to make more episodes and put them on the air.
Regardless of how the show ends next week (we’ve already seen it in the UK, but don’t want to spoil it), the legacy of Home Fires remains the same — a really powerful story about the men and women in a small Cheshire village trying to deal with wartime England. We’ve seen many stories over the years set around World War II, but we’re not sure that any of them are anywhere near as fantastic at capturing the essence of life as this one.
