Arrow season 5 spoilers: More on Katie Cassidy’s return as Black Siren
You are going to see Katie Cassidy back in action starting with the penultimate episode of the season entitled “Missing,” which is airing on May 17. If that title doesn’t make you excited and/or nervous, the other information that we have. This episode will feature Cassidy back specifically for the purpose of helping one Adrian Chase a.k.a. Prometheus — suffice it to say, she’s not coming back with the idea in mind of trying to help Oliver Queen out. She may want revenge from earlier this season, and that probably also includes Felicity for embarrassing her greatly.
As for what else is coming, the information released by The CW seems to indicate that someone is not going to be turning up over the course of the hour, at least in terms of where they are supposed to. The big character that we are worried about going into this hour is Rene, who doesn’t seem to turn up over the course of the hour to his daughter’s hearing. Given everything that he’s been through with the girl already, we have a hard time thinking that he would do this intentionally.
As for some lighter news, we’re going to be seeing Felicity do everything that she can in order to throw Oliver a birthday party. That is a little bit random, but we have a feeling that it’s going to lead to something far more dark and sinister than a birthday party would indicate.
Remember that one more episode from this, we’re getting to the epic finale “Liam Yu,” one that will feature the return of many important characters, including Manu Bennett as Slade Wilson. Consider that to be the main event, and the culmination of the entire story that we’ve seen so far through pretty much the first five seasons. Oliver Queen’s “five years in hell” will be fully documented in one way or another.
