Blindspot season 2 spoilers: See Jane and Weller undercover again!
Not only that, but the two parties are going to be going undercover to go along with it! According to Entertainment Weekly, the two characters are going to be going undercover for what is being effectively described as a “high-stakes scavenger hunt” being put on by hackers, and this is a situation where they are going to be forced to use their brains more so than their brawn (or their guns) in order to get where they want. They are going to have to prove to others that they can be trusted, and even prove that to each other. How else do you explain the photo below, courtesy of the publication, that shows the two parties taking a dual polygraph test?
Speaking to the site, executive producer Ryan Johnson offered up the following message:
“A dual polygraph test is Blindspot‘s version of a trust fall … What will Weller and Jane learn about each other that they don’t already know?”
The answer to that could define and alter the story for the two for some time to come. They’ve both been through a lot since their previous romantic entanglement ended, whether it be Jane unlocking more of her own history or Weller learning more about Shepherd and having a connection with Nas. Now, Archie Panjabi’s character is gone, and the reliance on Jane and Weller is going to be tantamount to the success of their mission. They are going to have to focus mostly on the present, and put almost everything else that’s transpired onto the back burner. If they are able to do that, then odds are that they will have a certain degree of success.
There are several episodes of Blindspot still to come after this, so anticipate anything that happens within this episode carrying over to some of the ones that follow.
