Blindspot season 2 episode 18 promo: Who is leaving?

As a Blindspot viewer, at this point we should have a certain degree of familiarity with not getting an abundance of news in advance for upcoming episode. Even with that being said, though, we still find that NBC is being more secretive than usual when it comes to Blindspot season 2 episode 18. They aren’t sharing a whole lot in terms of what to expect, other than that you could be seeing the return of a familiar face, and in the process another dangerous tattoo could offer up clues to a very troubling world.

Based on our early inclinations about this episode (entitled “Senile Lines”), we have a feeling that we’re going to be seeing quite a bit of vintage Blindspot storytelling with a little bit of a personal side to it as well. The synopsis below does a good job of explaining why.

Blindspot season 2 episode 18 synopsis – “Under investigation by an old rival, the team struggles to defend itself. Meanwhile, a tattoo leads them to a mysterious death at a foster home.”

Other than The Fosters, we don’t think that there are all that many shows out there that do an exemplary job of exploring some of the terrible things that can happen within the foster-care system. There are some great examples out there of kind, loving people, but there are regrettably a number of horror stories, as well. This episode could be in part about trying to expose the darkness of the world while reminding us of some of the good, as well.

Oh, and given that this is Blindspot, there are probably many other key events that are coming that are not even mentioned in this synopsis. It does certainly benefit them to keep some of their cards close to the vest.

Promo – This is probably far more significant than anything that we’ve mentioned so far, given that there is a major question asked at the center of it: Who is leaving? It looks like by the end of the episode, one familiar character will be gone. It’s worth noting that it is not mentioned that this character will die, so it is possible that they leave via some other, alternative means.
