Jane the Virgin season 3 episode 16 return date: When’s it on The CW?
Given that this hiatus is taking you all the way now until you get to Monday, April 24, it’s clear that there are only going to be 20 episodes this season. That’s a bummer just from the vantage point of wanting to get as much of Gina Rodriguez onscreen as possible (especially since the first two seasons each ran for 22 episodes), but we also understand the thinking. We actually could foresee this show going down to 13-15 episodes in the future given that it is so heavily serialized, and sometimes with comedies there is some value that can come from condensing the story so that there are very few filler episodes. This structure worked rather nicely for the second season of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, which was just as good as the first (if not even better in spots). The good news is that we do already know that the show was renewed for a fourth season.
When it comes to Jane the Virgin, we actually cannot say one way or another that there is any other thing in particular that we’re looking forward to seeing — sometimes, it’s better to not have any expectations and to simply get out to enjoy precisely what it is that the show does. It’s a lot about humor, a lot about style, and certainly a lot about heart. It’s a show that brings everything to the table and is all about your investment in the story.
Promo – When the show does come back, you better get ready for some fun times! Also, you better get ready for a lot of Fabian as you’re going to see him take center stage for the most part during the hour. That’s at least the way that the promo makes it seem as we get to take a deeper dive into this feelings for Jane. If nothing else, it feels like this storyline will guarantee some laughs.
