America’s Got Talent season 12 photo: First look at Tyra Banks, judges
This first photo was posted on Twitter by the show itself, and it features Tyra alongside Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, Mel B, and Simon Cowell. There are a couple of key takeaways from the photo, beyond of course Tyra looking as fierce as you expected:
1. Does Howie have a little bit of a Mr. Clean thing going on with the white shirt? Without the facial hair (or at least the black facial hair), we certainly see it.
2. Simon, apparently, has decided to not come into the new season sporting the same beard that he had for most of the past year on reality television. This is a little bit more vintage Simon, given that he is yet again not being all that interested in dressing up for the occasion.
Tyra’s appointment as a host ended up drawing some pretty strong reactions almost the moment that it was first announced, but we do think that it should prove to be an exciting component to the show. She has a sense of humor and knows that she can make fun of herself. Also, she’s probably already got a good relationship with Klum from both the modeling world and also the international Top Model franchise. She knows how to guide a show, and she also should bring a different energy as the first woman to ever host the show in more than a decade’s worth of experience.
As for when the new season is going to premiere on NBC, you can find that out over at the link here. From, us the biggest thing that you can expect is the same sort of wall-to-wall coverage that you’ve had for every other season to date. We just hope that there is great variety at the center of this season, given that this is one of the key components in what makes this series better than almost any other of its kind.
