Want to get a full glimpse of the NBC summer schedule? Well, we’ve got it for you now courtesy of some of the just-announced premiere dates from the network. There are a few changes here and there, but for the most part this is roughly what you would have expected. America’s Got Talent and American Ninja Warrior remain the centerpieces, but if you look across the board there are a few other things worth taking note of here and there.

Of the lineup, the one thing that we definitely do appreciate is that NBC is continuing to support some essence of summer scripted programming, which is not something that we really see many other networks at the moment in passionate support of … which is absolutely frustrating, to say the least. They’ve got a couple of different genres coming on the air, and then a couple of comedies whether it be The Carmichael Show and Marlon. What’s especially interesting with the latter is that there was at one point a reasonably good chance that we had to see Marlon Wayans hosting America’s Got Talent season 12, but he and the network couldn’t come together on the right contract. As a result of that, eventually they went on to hire Tyra Banks instead. (Brandon Mychal Smith was also reportedly considered for a time.)

The majority of the NBC finales are going to be airing in May. For those wondering, World of Dance is only premiering so early so that it can better take advantage of having The Voice as a lead-in during the first few weeks of its run.
