Legends of Tomorrow season 2 finale spoilers: First details!

Legends of Tomorrow season 2 finale -

What’s coming up on the Legends of Tomorrow season 2 finale? Earlier today, The CW released some of the first details about “Aruba” airing on April 4, and it’s going to be an epic showdown potentially between the Legends and the Legion of Doom over the Spear. Maybe they are successful in saving history and the reality they know, but in the process of it, there may be some huge repercussions. This is a show with a pretty large team, and with that, the odds are far greater that someone could sacrifice themselves or alter the course of history. The latter is something that’s already been explored somewhat courtesy of the Nate Heywood – Amaya relationship, and depending on how the story ends, you could see the show actually stretch into some larger personal ramifications.

Now, let’s go ahead and bring you the official synopsis for this said episode, which is coming your way courtesy of SpoilerTV:

“As the Legends are about to take off for their next destination, a massive timequake rocks the ship.  In order to try and fix what has happened, they are forced to break the one cardinal rule of time travel.  But if they are able to destroy the spear, they will face the ultimate consequence.  Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Arthur Darvill, Caity Lotz, Dominic Purcell, Franz Drameh, Nick Zano and Maisie Richardson-Sellers. Rob Seidenglanz directed the episode written by Phil Klemmer & Marc Guggenheim (#217).”

Here is the good news that we’ve got going into the finale — the series is already renewed officially for a third season! Therefore, no matter what happens here, it won’t be the end of the road for the story. Also, we don’t expect too much that transpires here to directly impact some of the other shows within the DC – CW universe, mostly because we’re so far into their seasons that it would be difficult for Legends of Tomorrow and its events to become integrated into those stories. They’ve already got their own stuff going on in between Savitar on The Flash and Prometheus over on Arrow. (By the way, season 5 of Arrow to date is awesome, the best one that the show’s had since season 2.)
