Arrow season 5 episode 17 promo: Will Prometheus kill Oliver’s son?

As we approach Arrow season 5 episode 17, it’s becoming more and more clear precisely how much danger we could be seeing Oliver Queen and the rest of the team in. The biggest thing that’s intriguing to us at the minute is the simple fact that it never seems as though anything can get worse for Oliver Queen … but then it somehow does. This is a show where we tend to see an escalation that goes from about the middle of the season up to the finale.

The title for the next new episode “Kapiushon,” and if you’re looking for some sort of way to understand the meaning of that, it’s easy: “Hood.” That’s a loose translation, but it’s what the show is going for as this episode may give you more of Oliver’s story in Russia than almost any other story this season. This is not actually the original title for the episode; it was changed down the line in order to provide a more accurate translation.

Arrow season 5 episode 17 synopsis – “Prometheus (Josh Segarra) goes to great lengths to break Oliver (Stephen Amell). Meanwhile, in the flashbacks, Anatoly (guest star David Nykl) becomes worried about Oliver’s increasingly violent tendencies, which come to a head in a brutal confrontation.”

Is this the episode where we could see Oliver end up back on the island? This is something that we do think is going to be coming up eventually, and it’s mostly a matter of when more so than if. We do think that this would be an effective time to throw that out there, mostly because it’d be nice to start to understand a little bit better how he got back there and prepared to be the Oliver that we first saw in the pilot of the show.

Arrow season 5 episode 17 promo – This is all about torture more than anything. Adrian’s got Oliver locked up, and he’s even threatening to go after his son. This is already ugly, so we anticipate plenty of chaos coming up.
