Is Reign season 4 episode 5 new tonight on The CW? More scoop on what’s ahead
Unfortunately, you will have to wait for more Reign for at least one more week. Because of The CW turning tonight into a two-hour The Vampire Diaries event (understandable, given that the show effectively carried the network for a year or two), Reign season 4 episode 5 is being pushed back. The show will air once more in a week, and we expect it to pick up effectively right where it left off as Lord Darnley continues to do what he can in order to get Mary on his side to be married.
Reign season 4 episode 5, “Highland Games” (watch a promo for it here) – “In order to get Mary (Adelaide Kane) to agree to a marriage, Lord Darnley (Will Kemp) must demonstrate his loyalty when she voices her concerns about his true intentions. Catherine (Megan Follows) and Narcisse (Craig Parker) work to repair King Charles’ (Spencer MacPherson) reputation after rumors spread about his strange behavior and threaten the throne.”
Reign season 4 episode 6, “Love & Death” – “Mary (Adelaide Kane) must deal with the political repercussions of a potential marriage to Lord Darnley (Will Kemp) and King Charles (Spencer MacPherson) disappears, leaving Catherine (Megan Follows) to pick up the pieces. Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten) comes to Gideon’s (Ben Geurens) aid, while Claude (Rose Williams) receives an interesting proposition.”
As a whole, we are just a hefty handful of episodes away from the end, and in the context of Reign, the question that you have to ponder is rather simple: When does the show decide to wrap things up? Given that it’s pretty clear how Mary’s life ended in history, you have something to go on. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that the show will decide to follow this route. They may opt to venture off down another path where they end a little bit earlier than a certain pivotal moment near the end of Mary’s life. Time will tell, but we prefer leaving things a mystery here.
