Michelle Obama to appear on MasterChef Junior season 5 episode 6
The first thing that we should note with this story in particular is that Obama’s appearance on the Fox series is going to be both interesting and different when you stop and think about the circumstances for a minute. She actually filmed this video when she was First Lady, as the season filmed last year. We figure that there could be some confusion about it when the episode airs, but this was still one of her ways to get an important initiative to her out there for everyone to hear about: Healthy eating. She is intent on getting everyone feeling better and feeling good about themselves. We don’t think that this has changed all that much now that she is out of office.
For those of you who want to keep your cooking competitions separate from your politics, the only thing that we can say on that subject is that we extremely doubt that Fox is going to make a family show overtly political. This is more of an appearance designed for her to show up, offer a few words of encouragement, and then send the remaining home cooks on their way.
As for what else you’re going to get a chance to see in the episode, let’s just say that you should get a rather great opportunity in here to see another prominent TV guest star: Julie Bowen! First, it was Mayim Bialik; apparently, one of the things that this show is enjoying right now is casting some notable TV names to be a part of the overall experience. We do think that this is important for the kids in particular, given that it helps them to have some specific reason as to why they should be excited beyond just the standard competition. Also, bringing someone like the Modern Family actress in helps to keep things light and funny.
