Victoria season 2: When should Jenna Coleman series return to PBS?

When will Victoria season 2 premiere on PBS? This is a question that we may be waiting for some time in order to get a proper answer to.

For the time being, here is what we know. The first season of the show premiered in January, which was many months after the show premiered on ITV in America in the fall of 2016. the reason why the publicly-funded network opted to do this is the same reason that they did for Downton Abbey when that show was on the air. In premiering the show in January, they are able to capitalize on the fact that there are many hiatuses airing across the board for some of the other shows on TV. There is some competition from some NFL games here and there and also the Grammys, but clearly, PBS does not see them as heavy competition.

With all of this in mind, we see little reason for the show to shake things up. Season 2 will premiere most likely in January once more, and it may get a slightly earlier start this time given that there is no Sherlock to take over the first few weeks of the season. ITV renewed the series starring Jenna Coleman formally last year, so there was never any reason to doubt as to whether or not the show would be coming back for more.

We’re really still just scratching the surface of the Queen’s reign, and then also the relationship that she has with Albert. If there is one question that we have at the moment regarding Victoria season 2, it’s one regarding whether or not we are going to see a big time jump. Will the show ever surge forward so far that they could pull something similar to what The Crown has planned? Could they recast many of their cast members? Time will tell.
