TV Madness 2017: Vikings, NCIS: Los Angeles prepare to square off
Below, we size up the competition in this round, and you can vote for the potential winner to your heart’s content in the poll at the bottom of this article.
Vikings (#4 seed) – If there was ever a show that knew a thing or two about battling people, it would be this one. We’re coming off of a huge series of battles in the fourth season, and while there have been many casualties along the way (we won’t spoil anything here for those unaware), you still have many characters fighting on and trying to give their people a better life. We can only hope that this show continues to be every bit as exciting as it’s been so far. For this tournament, we know that it will be looking for a better finishing after losing to Outlander (the eventual winner of the tournament) in the final eight last year.
NCIS: Los Angeles (#5 seed) – Meanwhile, we have a crime series in the midst of a resurgence here. The eighth season is drawing some of its best ratings in a long time, and it’s doing so by focusing on its characters and giving it a more serialized story. To make an NCAA Tournament analogy, consider this show the team who, after a few quiet years, hired a new coach and is rising up the ranks. To date, we’d say that it is easily the most exciting version of the NCIS franchise in 2017.
Now, let’s turn this over to you! The poll can be found below, and as the image above (click on it to resize) indicates, you have until March 13 to select the winner. The champion here will face off against whoever wins between Supergirl and Game of Thrones.
