‘Arrow’ season 5, episode 15 preview: The Vigilante showdown
Tonight, “Arrow” season 5 is going to be airing “The Sin-Eater,” an episode that will feature many distinct, important villains all playing a big part in stirring up some madness in Star City. There may be a hint or two of Prometheus somewhere along the line here, but the big appeal, at the very least to us, is going to be seeing the likes of Cupid, Liza Warner, and China White in the same room.
Meanwhile, on next week’s “Fighting Fire with Fire,” we could see the showdown of the ages between Vigilante and the team. This is a guy who’s been tearing through town ever since Adrian Chase first decided to take on criminals in his own unique way, and that’s with guns and a complete disregard for who he hurts. He’s one of the most violent characters the show’s ever seen, and is really their version of The Punisher. Get ready to see Team Arrow face off against him, but it may be in a very different manner to which you would most likely expect to see it happen.
Synopsis – “Oliver (Stephen Amell) faces his biggest challenge yet as mayor. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) continues down her dark path with Helix. After Vigilante attacks Oliver while he’s acting as the mayor, Diggle (David Ramsey) leads the team in a mission to stop Vigilante once and for all.”
Will this really be the final episode for Vigilante as an adversary? It’s being hyped that way, but we’ll believe it when we see it. The interesting part of this story to us is what happens in the event that Oliver and the rest of the team learn that it is actually the District Attorney who’s been under this mask the entire time. What does this do to the structure of power within City Hall? Hopefully, we’re going to get a chance to find out.
Promo – It’s clear in here why Vigilante is after Oliver: He’s not a fan of his corruption; specifically, we mean that in terms of him covering up Malone’s death in order to better ensure the Green Arrow’s safety.
