‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 4, episode 7 preview: The search for Molly

So far on “Sleepy Hollow” season 4, we’ve had a chance to see a wide array of different stuff — there’s been some character backstory, a supernatural trial, and the return to the show’s title town.

Next week, we’re going to have a chance to see a little bit of danger! The next new episode is entitled “Loco Parentis,” and the synopsis below gives you a pretty good sense as to what’s coming up — let’s just say that Molly’s father is going to return, and the aftereffects of this may be rather severe.

Synopsis – “Just before Molly’s 11th birthday, her father returns from duty. As Diana begins to wonder if her ex might be ready to be a part of his daughter’s life full-time, the team has a shocking realization.”

Promo – This makes you wonder if Molly’s gone missing, and if his said ex is responsible for her disappearance. This is going to be a frantic, scary episode that for Diana, revolves mostly around her worst fear. After all, there is nothing worse for anyone than thinking that your child is gone and you don’t know where they are. This is a different sort of fear for the show, but it’s one that is going to be interesting to explore. We did certainly see a lot of family bonds when it came to both Abbie and Jenny being on the show.

One other thing that makes this dynamic so interesting at the moment is the presence of Molly as the Witness — with this, we’re going to see Ichabod have an investment towards trying to help her that is far deeper than he even would otherwise. He understands what she means for the fate of the universe, and this is in part what makes her, rather than Diana, holding this title all the more interesting. It’s a further way to shake things up beyond what we’ve seen already.
